Best sneaker price API: six options compared

No single sneaker price API is the best for every job. The right choice depends on the marketplaces you need, whether you start from a barcode, and your request volume. This page compares six options with the figures that each vendor publishes. Barcodes.gg publishes this page and is one of the six.

The short answer by use case

  • The price for the pair in a scanned box: Barcodes.gg. One call goes from barcode to size to price.
  • EU marketplaces such as Alias, Laced and HypeBoost: Barcodes.gg.
  • GOAT prices and US sales history: KicksDB.
  • The most requests for the money, and a free plan: KicksDB. €29 buys 50,000 requests.
  • Alias prices in real time, with credits weighted by endpoint: Packet.
  • Your own StockX listings and orders as a seller: the official StockX API.

Barcodes.gg

Barcodes.gg is a barcode and product data API for sneakers and streetwear, run by Reactive Systems SL. Since 25 October 2026 it also returns resale prices per size. Send a style code, or send a barcode to get the prices for the size of that barcode only. Rows come from StockX, Alias (GOAT Group), Laced, HypeBoost, Poizon, SneakerAsk and other marketplaces. Each price has its own time, and is_stale marks an answer older than 24 hours.

Prices are on Standard (€49 per month, 10,000 calls) and higher plans. One answered request uses one call, and a product without cached prices is not charged.

Where it is weaker: it has no GOAT source, no sales history endpoint and no free tier for prices. It also costs more per request than KicksDB or Packet. Details are on the sneaker resale price API page.

KicksDB

KicksDB (kicks.dev) is a sneaker market data API. Its Starter plan costs €29 per month for 50,000 requests, and its free plan gives 1,000 requests per month for the US market. Its sources page lists StockX with a refresh of 4 hours in the US and 24 hours in the EU. It also lists GOAT for the US, UK and NL. It has prices per size, sales history for the US and DE, a batch price endpoint, a GTIN lookup and events on the Pro plan. Its terms allow resale of its data.

Its own changelog records a StockX sales history outage that ended on 13 July 2026, and several removed features in 2026. Its sources page lists no Alias, Klekt, Restocks, Laced or HypeBoost data. The KicksDB alternative page compares it with Barcodes.gg in detail.

SoleFetch

SoleFetch sells plans at €19 per month for 3,000 calls up to €99 for 250,000, with 100 free calls per month. Its site names GOAT and "Alias/GOAT" as sources and claims barcode lookup. It returns one average price, not a price per size. Its terms page answered 404 on 25 October 2026, so the conditions for use of its data are not clear.

Packet (pckt.sh)

Packet sells credits: €29 per month for 50,000 credits up to €379 for 600,000, with 500 free credits. Endpoints cost different numbers of credits. Its site gives StockX and GOAT data cached for 24 hours and Alias data in real time, with prices per size. It has no barcode lookup.

Retailed.io

Retailed.io sells scraper APIs by data source, with credits weighted by endpoint. Paid plans start at $49 per month for more than 18,000 credits and go up to $499. It lists StockX and GOAT data and a barcode lookup. We could not verify from its site whether it returns prices per size or how many credits one price request costs.

StockX API (official)

StockX publishes its own API at developer.stockx.com. It is the official StockX API for sellers. Use it when you sell on StockX and work with your own account. The price data APIs on this page do not replace it, and none of them is a StockX partner.

How to choose: test your own products

  1. Collect 20 style codes and, if you scan stock, 20 barcodes from the products you handle.
  2. Send the same list to each candidate on its free tier, trial or lowest plan.
  3. Count the products with a price. Check the marketplaces, the sizes and the time on each price.
  4. Work out the monthly cost at your real volume, with the plan you would need.

Barcodes.gg does not charge a request for a product without cached prices, so a miss costs nothing.

How this comparison was made

Every competitor figure was read on the vendor site and documentation on 25 October 2026. The sources are linked under the table. Prices are in the currency of each vendor and are not converted. Plans change, so check the vendor site before you buy. This page shows no match rates, speed figures or review scores, because we did not measure them. KicksAPI, the RapidAPI listings and the open-source Sneaks-API are not in the table, because we did not verify their figures.
